A framed set of 13 pages from “The Lu Lu Alphabet”, a chapbook from 1851 published by Samuel Ragnot, NYC. This set comprises the letters N through Z, each with a short rhyming description. Occasionally copies of the book are seen with the charming woodcuts hand colored as in the case here.

Although no author is credited in the book, the historical record cites Pamela Atkins Colman (1824-1900) as author.
