An elegantly detailed, late 18th century Louis XV period wooden display case, golden yellow lacquer with silver leaf accents. As a reliquary or tabernacolo, the box may have been used to display or store religious artifacts, as a shrine. Single glass pane inside front side. Circa 1770.
