Buccellati silver seahorse ice bucket often used to chill multiple bottles of wine, champagne, rose, and more. The smallest of two Buccellati buckets in our collection, this hand-raised open vessel includes marks of the artisan, with surrounding areas planished to perfection. Scalloped edges are ever so slightly tapered in gauge, and topped with a subtle caulked edge. Seahorses are hollow forms with release puncture hidden away at bottom of each piece.
Oval shape measures approx. 21? in length, 17? in width. The diameter of the top approx. 12? x 16 1/2?. Six seahorses total; measuring 2 1/2? x 1? with a 7 1/4? height.
Includes sterling purity mark “925”, Italian lozenge and makers marks: Signed “M Buccellati”, circa 1960s.
