1950s Gilded Mid Century Modern Attributed to John and Elinor McGuire Sheaf of Wheat Side Table Base

John and Elinor McGuire established their furniture company, McGuire Furniture, in San Francisco in 1948. They chose natural materials with Asia-inspired design to create a clean look. This sheaf of wheat table base is gilded rattan rods wrapped in the middle with a gilded sash, and is attributed to John and Elinor McGuire

This mid century modern side table is in very good original condition with wear consistent with age and use.
